Research

We are investigating diverse aspects of cell-cell communication in the control of development and in the etiology of disease. A specific focus area is the contribution of the Wnt/Wingless signaling cascade. Another is deciphering how growth is controlled and coordinated with patterning. We also have a strong interest developing and optimizing cutting-edge technologies and resources for biological research. As model systems, we use Drosophila, mice, and in vitro systems, such as organoids.
