Adrian was born in Switzerland and studied biology at the University of Zurich. He joined the Pelkmans lab in October 2017 to carry out his master’s thesis, during which he worked on ways to quantify variability in bacteria and measured how it is affected by bacteriophage infections. Since March 2019, he is a PhD student in the lab. His work is currently concerned with experimental and computational approaches that might allow to cross scales in live-cell imaging and single-particle tracking. The development of such approaches would grant systemic and quantitative insights into the dynamics of single molecules in living cells.
