Lisa has been fascinated by the human brain since school. She therefore studied biology with the goal to pursue a Master’s in neuroscience. During an internship in the Stoeckli Lab, she became captivated by developmental neuroscience. Curious to learn more about the processes which make up the foundations for all the complexity of thoughts, emotions, and decisions, she decided to join the lab for her Master’s. For her thesis, she investigates the role of neurotrypsin – a gene also involved in intellectual disability – during axon guidance and the development of the cerebellum. In her free time, Lisa enjoys reading, learning new things about science, and playing music in orchestras.
