Institute of Molecular Life Sciences

The Institute of Molecular Life Sciences is a team of researchers studying multiple aspects of molecular and cellular biology in a range of model systems and model organisms. This diversity is key to achieving our goals:
1)   Bottom up research to enhance our understanding of the molecular basis of life. It is only by understanding how biological processes work that we can hope to intervene in cases where things go awry.
2) Excellence in teaching to ensure that the next generation is equipped to meet the challenges posed by the rapidly changing face of modern science.
3) Capitalizing on the diversity of expertise to catalyze synergies that will accelerate scientific discoveries.
4) Developing and applying state of the art technologies to be able to do excellent research.
